He liked it, so he put a ring on it.

August 4th, 2017 was our one year anniversary and Ry planned a date night to the spot we first met, Barley Forge Brewing Co. Despite me being pretty pregnant at the time and in an off mood, I still said okay to going. I had no idea that my sneaky guy had been in cahoots with some of my best friends and family for weeks leading up to that day. We pulled up to the brewery and started walking towards the entrance. The building is in an industrial park and has a large slide up door with tables right up to the edge. Walking in I had thought some of the group had looked familiar but wasn't certain, until we turned that corner. There they all were, friends and parents all sitting and smiling as we walked up. Now at this point I am sure most women would know that they were probably getting engaged, but having a severe case of "baby brain", I thought we were having a belated birthday celebration (my birthday is July 25th). Boy was I wrong. Then it happened, that life changing moment when it literally feels like time stops, and it's just the two of you in the room. That night I got engaged to the absolute love my life, in front of so many of my closest friends and family. I have never been surprised like that before and it literally took about 15 minutes just to get my heart to slow back down to a normal pace.

So now the planning begins, we officially start our wedding countdown today.

365 days until we say "I do, and I cannot wait!!
